How did my child end up on the 6th Grade Band Fest?
The list of students attending the festival all volunteered to go (and were supposed to ask their parent/guardian). Permission slips and other forms will be sent home at a later date. There was no form sent out previously as stuents had to agree to go before PMEA sent the list of who was going. While I understand this system is frustrating it is the system that we have to work with.
My child is on the list to go to the festival, do they have to go?
Yes, students have already been paid for by the district. If your child can no longer attend please email Mr Roland ASAP. Students may be barred from attending future festivals if they back out of this one without a good reason.Â
Why isn't my child going to 6th Grade Band Fest?
All students were asked if they wanted to attend the festival. From that point I send a list to PMEA and they decide who gets to go based on each schools quota. While I wish all students were able to atend only those who were chosen by PMEA are able to attend.
